Volunteer Rules
Wear only close-toe shoes. No ear buds. Very limited time on your cell phone. No Graphic t-shirts, revealing clothing. Use lockers for personal items. Notice the fire exits and extinguishers in case of an emergency. 15 minute breaks. Any questions, see a staff member.
Volunteer Waiver
In consideration of the opportunity afforded to me to assist on a voluntary basis with Oakland HOPE whose aims and purposes are providing services to the community through a variety of Human Service projects. I hereby waive any right or cause of action arising as a result of my participation in said project from which any liability may or could accrue against Oakland HOPE or its officers and directors, employees, agents, donors, volunteers or other affiliates, collectively or individually. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, I agree that this waiver shall include any rights or cause of action resulting from personal injury to me, death or damage to my personal property directly or indirectly arising from or sustained in connection with my activities with Oakland HOPE. I also grant Oakland HOPE permission to take or have taken still and moving photographs and films including television pictures of myself. I consent and authorize Oakland HOPE. its advertising agencies, news media and any other persons interested in Oakland HOPE and its works, to use and reproduce the photographs, films, and pictures and to circulate and publicize the same by all means including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, newspapers, television media, brochures, pamphlets, instructional materials, books and clinical material.

Oakland HOPE Civil Rights Requirements
1. Equal treatment for all clients, with dignity and respect for everyone.
2. All client information must be kept secure and confidential.
3. Assist people with disabilities as directed by the site manager.
4. Language services must be provided for non-English speaking participants as directed by the site manager. Get the site manager for language assistance needs.
5. Get the site manager to assist with conflicts or problems.
